Chromatin
Chromatin, is the less condensed form of the cell's DNA that organizes to form chromosomes during cell division.
The “Histones” in the picture are the Histone Proteins.

- Definition: A complex of DNA and associated proteins (primarily histones).
- States:
- Euchromatin: Loosely packed, transcriptionally active regions.
- Heterochromatin: Densely packed, transcriptionally inactive regions.
- Chromatin condenses to form chromosomes during cell division.
